In the United Kingdom, Omexom was awarded for a new generation of nuclear power stations

In the south-west of the United Kingdom Hinkley Point C (HPC) is under construction. It will be the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations for the UK generating 3.2 GW of electricity - equivalent to approximately 7% of the national demand and able to power 6 million homes for 60 years.

For the Mechanical, Electrical Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (MEH) phase, HPC is being delivered in a collaborative environment via a client-constructor alliance (MEH Alliance) managing a supply chain through execution design, procurement and manufacture, logistics, installation and testing. This delivery model is driving project innovation with clients and throughout the supply chains to optimise interfaces and processes in the direction of an extended enterprise operation.

In 2020 Omexom Nuclear Projects signed an engineering framework contract to industrialise designs into manufacturing and installation information for the General Electrical Installations (IEG). The engineering services include project management, 200+ km of cable containment and support structures, earthing, approx 2,100+ selected electrical, control & instrumentation cabinets and boxes and support structures, lightning, surge and EMC protection systems, emergency battery discharge and monitoring system.

The services include over 400,000 hrs of nuclear engineering services across 4years and is being delivered by Omexom Nuclear Projects offices in Colombes, Paris, with a local project office in Bristol and subcontract support from a Vinci Energies business unit in the UK, North West Projects (NWP) Limited.
