‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

Hi Aidan, can you finish the following sentence: ‘My business is an incredible company to work for because…’

The great team of people is a standout factor – we’re all aligned on our objectives and goals. Additionally, there’s a wide range of benefits for employees, and the company offers ample opportunities for professional development and flexibility in work arrangements. It’s this combination that makes Actemium a great place to work.

Give us an example of a time where you have been supported to achieve your best in your career with us.
Over the past year, I had dived into the VINCI Energies Leadership Programme, a 13-month programme designed to enhance people skills, personal skills, business and management skills, to ensure that you perform and develop into potential future leaders and directors within the VINCI Group. This has been more than just a professional journey for me – focusing on refining my communication and active listening skills, the program has been like a guidebook to becoming a better leader. Beyond the learning modules, it’s been a real game-changer by connecting me with people from different corners of our business. This unique blend of learning and networking has not only widened my perspective but has also laid the groundwork for some lasting professional bonds. It’s more than just skill development; it’s about fostering a collaborative spirit to tackle the diverse challenges we encounter in our projects.

VINCI Energies UK & RoI is an organisation made up of incredible teams both large and small. Tell us about your incredible team and what it’s like to work with them.

Our team is incredibly varied, and that’s what makes it interesting. Every day brings new challenges as we work on different projects for various clients. I have direct engagement with project managers and engineering delivery teams, and it’s rewarding to see a project evolve from initiation to completion. The team’s ability to come up with innovative solutions to challenging problems always surprises me.

At VINCI Energies UK & RoI and our associated businesses, we are ‘transforming our world through the digital and energy revolutions’. Please tell us how you (or your team) are helping us to achieve that goal.

We focus on delivering engineering design projects for clients in the nuclear industry. Historically, a lot of our work has been in the decommissioning program, designing systems for clean-up operations and handling legacy waste materials. This work is crucial to showcase our capabilities in managing nuclear facilities safely and contributes to the overall energy mix alongside renewables.

Finally, can you tell us in a few words why you are proud to do what you do?

I find pride in shaping and influencing projects from the initial customer requirements to project completion. Seeing the tangible results, whether it’s equipment we’ve designed being installed and operational or receiving positive feedback from satisfied customers, is truly rewarding. Building strong relationships with our clients, based on quality service, is something that makes me proud to be part of VINCI Energies.
