Known for the provision of mechanical and CE&I engineering design services for nuclear decommissioning, North West Projects has rebranded to Actemium Design UK.

Nuclear engineering specialist North West Projects is now operating under the name ‘Actemium Design UK’ through its three sites: Actemium Design Chorley (Lancashire), Actemium Design Whitehaven (Cumbria) and Actemium Design Basingstoke (Hampshire).

The company began life in 1987 as a small team of Control, Electrical and Instrumentation (CE&I) professionals and has since grown to employ more than 150 multi-discipline engineers covering the full project lifecycle, from initial front-end concept design, detailed design for manufacture and support, to manufacturing, testing, installation and commissioning.

The company has been part of VINCI Energies since 2017 and is joining the Actemium network of 400 business units in 41 countries dedicated to delivering design, engineering, installation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical and automation services for clients operating in the industrial market.

The team is currently working on projects of national strategic importance and the name change is part of an ambitious plan for further growth and development in the UK defence and nuclear decommissioning, research & development and new build markets.

Employees celebrated the rebrand on 3^rd November with a day of fun and teambuilding activities.
