The company has allow myself to get involved in lots of interesting projects over my time here, many of them energy industry firsts which are great learning curves for the future energy markets.

It’s great to be part of the newly set up renewables team which is made up of graduates & experienced engineers, it is full of everyday challenges but everyday is a school day in the energy sector.

Most of the projects Omexom Renewables undertake in the current wind farm markets involve IEC 61850 communications which is integrated with the control & protection of the Main switchgear to the SCADA system , This protocol will play a vital role in the push to digitalise the energy systems of the future.

I am proud to be a part of the renewable energy sector which has marked its biggest victory yet in the fight against global warming, with more & more companies getting involved in the race to the net zero target . Solar and wind are proliferating, new technologies are on the horizon, and the UK’s energy industry may now have the momentum to help it achieve some ambitious low-carbon targets.
